The current electronic display devices are increasingly becoming thinner and lighter, with lower requirements for glass thickness. The processes required are also much more complex than before, and simply using mechanical thinning can no longer meet the needs of operations below the millimeter level. Strong acids and strong bases are used for chemical thinning.
So why should the glass of display panels be thinned?
1. Use chemical or physical methods to reduce the thickness of the panel glass to achieve the goal of making the panel lighter and thinner.
2. Reduce the weight of the display screen and provide clearer and brighter image quality.
3. Reduce space occupation, decrease the thickness of the display module, and leave more space, such as increasing battery capacity.

Currently, the thinning process of display panel glass is mainly divided into three stages:
Sealing process → Etching thinning process → Grinding process
